Now that I know how it feels to backtrack 11 floors to check if there’s a gray version of the sock, I can confidently say: the feeling is great. And there is a gray version of the sock.

Across its 12 amazingly distinct floors, you’ll find every Uniqlo thing you could ever need, and many more that you don’t — but that you’ll still consider buying.

You’ll be exposed to Uniqlo’s latest thermal engineering and “denim innovation” science, which may somehow be saving the planet while keeping you warm.

You’ll discover underground Japanese urban artists who it appears are no longer underground.

And you’ll get to design and print your own custom shirts — even embroidered — while sipping reasonably good Uniqlo coffee and picking up Uniqlo flowers for mom.

And that’s just 3 of the floors.

Exploring every square meter of the newly reborn tower of clothing for all climates, lifestyles, occupations and political leanings was, in a lot of ways, more challenging than climbing Mt. Fuji — but we made it up and back, and you can now enjoy the many neutral, functional treasures we found.
