In a hotel of Chicago the members of the City Opera of Chicago sing Rigoletto's quarter together with Florence MacBeth and Angelo Minghetti. En Rocky Point, Long Island, en el año de 1933 Guillermo Marconi y David Sarnoff visitan el lugar en que nació la radio transmisión. En 1921 los aficionados a la radio transmisión necesitaban de auriculares para escuchar uno de aquellos programas iniciales con aparatos galena, escuchan a los artistas famosos como Miriam Batista, actriz infantil del cine. Uno de los primeros locutores presenta a la deslumbrante Pichis Daunine. Herbert Hoover, secretario de comercio en 1922 descubre que la radio puede ayudar eficazmente a la difusión de noticias trascendentales. Andrew Wait se acerca al micrófono de la estación WJZ para transmitir las últimas noticias deportivas y lo hace desde un estudio ultramoderno. En 1923 la primera transmisión sobre el mar es recibida en Londres por el Capitan West de la BBC y también retransmitida a toda Inglaterra por medio de un asombroso sistema inalámbrico.
