DYNO RUN:    • 505 Ci Built for Performance with 610...

FOR SALE: 1976 Pontiac Trans Am with 1970 front bumper and vintage aluminum rear louvers. Originally a Goldenrod Yellow 455 4-speed car, the TA is now runs a Butler Performance 505 ci engine backed by a 5-speed TKO 600. ONE key for ignition, doors, glove box and trunk. Yellow LED headlights.

ENGINE: Started with an aII iron block with 4 bolt Billet caps and a Butler Performance Forged balanced assembly. This engine has Butler/Ross Custom Flat Top Pistons that yield a pump gas friendly compression ratio. Hydraulic Roller Johnson Lifters to go with a streetable Butler/Comp Custom grind Billet Roller Cam. Butler/PRO 80 PSI oil pump to keep everything oiled. This customer opted for the stealth package on his engine so all logo's are removed from the heads along with no logo's on the intake, and then we painted the aluminum heads & intake Pontiac blue metallic along with the rest of the engine to give it more of the subtle, sleeper look. We installed the Fast 30401 EZ EFI 2.0 for the tune-ability and ease of use. Edelbrock 325+CFM rd port heads with titanium retainers along with a port-matched Hurricane intake. Wrapping all of the electrical components up is a fast Ignition kit that includes: distributor, Plug wires, E6 ignition box and coil kit. After Dyno we added the march serpentine system and the customers other black components. The front of the engine is home to a March Revolver all black serpentine system and our custom solid black fabricated aluminum valve covers to achieve the color scheme and overall look the customer was wanting. Scorpion 3053 Aluminum 1.5 roller rockers are sitting under these Custom Butler black Valve Covers. The Rear of the engine has a CenterForce race clutch and pressure plate kit to apply all 664 torque and 610 Horsepower to the trans and then to the rest of the drivetrain.

INTERIOR: Fully restored! New Wiring Harnesses, DELUXE interior kit, excellent original dash, any dash knobs showing sign of wear were renewed, gauges rebuilt or replaced, REPLACEMENT 160 MPH speedometer (reads 96,000 miles but only 1,500 miles max since 505 Butler was installed). New carpet, headliner, new tinted windshield and door glass... tons of invoices from Performance Years and others are included on flash drive with the car. To handle all that Horsepower, we have CalTracs traction bars, Global West Subframe Connectors, and Stifflers DSL-M02 Driveshaft Safety Loop!

FUEL SYSTEM: New EFI fuel tank @ 400 gph pump with an access door in trunk. FAST EFI 2.0 system with control screen above rearview mirror.

BRAKES: 4-wheel Wilwood Discs, 14" 6 piston front and 12" 4 piston rear. Brake assist by the CPP HydraStop hydraulic assist for AMAZING brakes, no more vacuum assist brakes.

TIRES: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ front 245/40 ZR18 rear 275/40 ZR18(I believe a 295/40 will fit with my next set of tires).

AUDIO SYSTEM: Sony CD deck, twin tweeters in upper dash, 6" in doors, 6x9 rear deck, 8" enclosed vented sub and Alpine X-A90V X-Series 5-Channel Power Density Amplifier. Sounds GREAT!

PAINT: Very good driver quality paint with clear coat. Shows well. The only demerit is the rear bumper cover has spider cracks on the driver side when somebody bumped it while exiting a parallel park. You could replace the cover and paint to match but I am tempted to complete the 1970 Trans Am look with conversion to a chrome bumper. I sourced the parts to convert total $1,650 including bumper, taillights, rear panel, brackets and quarter patch panels which will need to be welded in as well as removing and replacing the rear panel. NO, the rear quarter panels would NOT need to be replaced. Side marker lights are all the same 1970-81. A little work and paint to match. For an investment of this size, an in-person test drive is suggested.
