New Hope and Ivyland 40 Scratch Built HO Scale Steam Locomotive

Описание к видео New Hope and Ivyland 40 Scratch Built HO Scale Steam Locomotive

In the effort to make the most accurate New Hope and Ivyland 40 I could I ended up going with totally scratch building the locomotive, since there is not much in the way of 50 inch drivered 2-8-0s available. Mantua drivers were used and the frame was drilled out of 2 brass beams. Most of the rest of the locomotive is made from styrene aside from the running gear. I did the art work for custom decals made to represent the early 1990s when my father lead the rebuild project with the head of the Strasburg railroad to get 40 running. This model is very much dedicated to him.

Reading coaches were accurate to the tourist line in the early 90s, other engines from earlier eras are also seen, as well as some "what if" freight cars I made to fill up the decal sheet.
