We are escaping the rest of the cold European winter and made the decision to head to warmer climates for the next while.

Join us in this vlog as we fly with one of the world's best airlines - Qatar, surprise Ash's sister and brother in law in Dublin and we end up getting one of the BEST rooms at our stopover hotel... by accident!

We will also show you how we SAVED money by booking a 5* hotel in Doha on the way to our final destination. This is one travel hack you NEED to know!!

Here's how we booked and paid just £361pp for this package:

Step 1 - We researched dates and prices online using Google flights to get a rough idea of the best deals available.
(We seached direct routes and indirect with a stopover included in the hope of saving money AND ticking off another country as we did it!)

Step 2 - Once we had an idea of the best options we jumped onto Qatar's website and selected the stopover package tab and searched our dates/destination.

Step 3 - Select our package flights with upgraded 5* layover hotel.
(If we had booked the flights WITHOUT the layover and hotel package it would have cost approxamatly £12 MORE per person!!)

Step 4 - BOOK BABYY!! ✈️

A couple of things to note:

- Flying from Dublin was SAVING us £100pp rather than any UK based airport could offer. This worked in our favour as we wanted to go via Dublin to surprise Ash's sister before we left the UK for this trip.

- We had Avios points which we were able to use towards our Qatar flights and this took the price down to £361pp. Prior to us using our Avios the package was £453pp - so this saved us £92pp.

- We used Avios to book our flights to Dublin from Aberdeen which saved us £120 total.
