Quilting with Trash - Where do I get my quilting materials?

This video explains why I call the materials I work with 'Saved Textiles', because they are literally saved from the trash!

My workspace is in a place where there used to be sea less than 75 years ago. So it is fitting I got a workplace there because I like to make quilts out of textiles that used to be trash!

The workspace is at the Upcycle Centre in Almere. It's the place where people go to bring their big household waste. Picture a place where lots of cars come with furniture, televisions, boxes of books, matresses and ... textiles.

Me and 2 other colleagues turn a bit of that trash into treasure. Find out more about the place in this video:

In this video, I show you where I get my textile trash and how I prepare it to perform my quilting magic with it. Also, I show you a bit of my workspace and how I prepare my saved textiles.

It's a lot of work, but it's worthwhile work.
