Louis didn't play the trumpet on his hit single "What a Wonderful World", but if he had it might have sounded something like this.

I analysed his other mid to late 1960s recordings and tried to play something in a similar style to those records. It's not a written-down solo. The music in front of me is the chords and the melody line.

I am playing a Selmer 19A Balanced Action trumpet, as played by Louis.

1960s Selmer plastic straight mute (Louis used a similar mute in many recordings including the Ella and Louis sessions)
