Lowering a wind turbine the hard way. Evance / Britwind R9000

If you have access to the correct tools for the job I would love some details so I can get a ram made up. This worked, but it was more effort and more dodgy than I'd have really liked.

Before doing this I had done some rough maths to estimate the weight and thought it was well within the weight limits (not accounting for the moments) of the machine. In the end, it didn't bother the load indicator. I would have liked to lift from the side but I was worried about tipping the JCB over and you can't really drive the sideways.

This would be much easier with a larger telehandler, but they are a lot more difficult and expensive to get hold of round here.
