Emily Retsas Special Cranker First Impression (Kim Gordon/Phoebe Bridgers) EarthQuaker Devices

Bassist Emily Retsas, whom you may have caught providing basslines for Phoebe Bridgers, or Boygenius, or Kim Gordon and/or Better Oblivion Community Center, takes a few moments from her busy gig and recording schedule to bless us with her first impressions of the all-new EQD Special Cranker Overdrive. With help from Hayley Brownwell, current drummer for Olivia Rodrigo, Emily gives us a quick demo of how well the Special Cranker works with the bass. She offers up some hard-rockin' fuzz bass and some melodic chord work that shows the "extra grittiness" of the Special Cranker and pairs it with the "dreaminess" of the Sea Machine Super Chorus, and it all grooves, man.
