PASTORAL by Spike Hughes and his Negro Orchestra.

Spike Hughes was a British band leader and became one of DECCA UK's first recording artists in 1930. In 1933, he came to New York and borrowed some of the hottest jazz musicians from some of the hottest USA jazz bands, including Benny Carter, Henry 'Red' Allan, Coleman Hawkins, J.C. Higgenbotham, Chu Berry, and Dicky Wells. These guys sat for 3 recording sessions and this recording is from one of those sessions.
