Five Soldiers Killed In Kathua Terror Attack; Militants Flee After Grenade And Gunfire Assault

Kathua Terror Attack: On Monday afternoon, a terror attack on an Army convoy in the remote Badnota village of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district left five soldiers dead and five injured. The convoy was ambushed around 3.10 pm, with militants launching a grenade and opening fire from two directions. The attack occurred at the inter-formation boundary between Northern and Western Command. The assailants fled into the forest, prompting ongoing search operations and the deployment of Special Forces. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh affirmed ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, while Rahul Gandhi condemned the attack as part of a troubling series of recent assaults on military personnel.
