Level Infinity Thinking is a game theory and psychology thought experiment about meta reasoning, intelligence, and why perfect logic fails in the real world. Most people never reach this level of thinking, which is not a bad thing though.

In this video, we run the beauty contest game, a classic game theory experiment used in psychology, economics, and cognitive science. One hundred people pick a number. The average is calculated. Two thirds of it wins. So which number would you choose? And what if everybody reasons exactly like you?

As reasoning compounds, numbers shrink. Level by level. Until, in theory, the perfect answer becomes zero. That final step is called Level Infinity Thinking. It’s elegant, rational, and almost useless in practice.
Because humans don’t reason infinitely. They guess, overthink, panic, and act on flawed expectations. That’s why real experiments never converge to zero, and why the most rational answer rarely wins. Not in games, not in politics, not in dating.

This video isn’t about productivity or mindset hacks. It’s about how intelligence interacts with social expectation and the beauty of (unnecessary?) logic.
