The Hon. Simon Kofe, MP and Special Envoy for the Future Now Project, has updated the world on Tuvalu’s progress towards digital nationhood.

Last year, at COP27, Mr. Kofe announced that Tuvalu will become the First Digital Nation. Facing total land loss due to rising sea levels, Tuvalu plans to digitally recreate its land, archive its rich history and culture, and transition all governmental functions into a digital space.
 
Now, as Tuvalu embarks on the heartbreaking business of digitising its nation, Mr. Kofe has provided an update on its progress. Digital migration will be a long journey, but the country has taken its first steps.
