🎬 Why watch it?
While we all love a happy ending, a sad one doesn’t necessarily make a bad drama. I knew going in that this was bound to be heartbreaking, but I still cried buckets. 😭 Some understandably dropped this because it was sad, but you’ll have missed a gem. Why?
💎 Wonderful writing – Kudos to the writer Lee Kang for a beautiful albeit heart-wrenching story! So many impactful lines and the conflicts and details were wrapped up well in the end 👌
💎 Excellent acting – I know many of us went in for Lee Do Hyun and he didn’t disappoint, nor did Go Min Si and the rest of the cast! 🙌
💎 Good pacing – The episodes unfold at a good pace. And 12 episodes was a sweet spot to deliver the story without dragging or unnecessary fillers 👍
💎 Surreal cinematography – From the first episode you can already feel the distinct 80’s vibe and the beautiful scenes delicately adorned the sad story and helped keep it from being too depressing. 😊
💎 Realistic ending – The love story was set in turbulent times after all, so a happy ending might seem to gloss over the painful realities of that time. 🥺
