LOCAL GOVT INTRODUCES FOOD PROGRAMME

The leadership of Ibeju-Lekki LG has introduced an end of the year food support programme tagged "Ounje Ibeju Lekki" aimed at providing relief for residents during the festive season.

The 3 day programme commenced at Community High School, Lakowe where the first set of beneficiaries from Ward E and F gathered to receive packs containing bag of rice , beans and garri

The council chairman, Abdullahi Olowa, stated that the intervention will be implemented across all 7 wards in the local government through a decentralized and inclusive distribution system. He emphasized the importance of supporting households during the festive season, particularly in light of the current economic challenges facing the country .
