Seetha Devi temple is mainly connected with Epic Ramayana. During exile period of Sree Seetha she given birth to Lava & Kusha at Valmiki Ashramam. And During Aswameda Yaga, Lavan and Kushan tied the horse sent for the sacrifice. Lord Rama, who came to free the horse, met Sita and the children and invited her back to Ayodhya. Sita, who was not interested in returning to Ayodhya, went to the lap of Mother Bhumi Devi. This place is now called as Chedattin kavu. And During 18th Century pazhassi raja built the Seetha devi lava kusha temple. This is the one and only temple of Godess seetha.
