Описание к видео Our Favorite Way to Make Sourdough Bread

Excited to have Drew join me in today's video and share his amazing sourdough bread recipe! We enjoy this bread all year long, and it's truly one of our favorite things to eat. We wanted to simplify the process as much as possible while still producing delicious results! And I think this recipe does just that. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! :)

RECIPE: https://asimplepalate.com/blog/countr...

INGREDIENTS:
Levain / Starter
80 g Sourdough starter mature
120 g Water warmed to 80-90F
60 g All purpose flour
60 g Whole wheat flour
Dough
200 g Sourdough levain / starter you made the night before
650 g Water warmed to 80-90F
900 g Bread Flour, organic preferred
100 g Whole Wheat Flou,r organic preferred
25 g Salt
White rice flour, optional to reduce sticking

SIMPLE STARTER RECIPE (video coming soon):
To make this sourdough bread recipe, you need a mature sourdough starter. If you don't have one, here's a simple recipe to make one of your own. Mix 120g Water (warmed to 80-90F), 60g All-purpose Flour, and 60g Whole Wheat Flour in a jar (should resemble a paste). Cover and store in a warm environment for 24 hours. After 24 hours, stir the mixture down and leave for another 24 hours. The next day, discard all but 80g of the mixture and refresh with the same amount of water and flour as the first day. Repeat this process of discarding and refreshing for 9-12 days until your starter slightly more than doubles in size daily and smells pleasantly tangy, slightly sour, and a bit yeasty (ours has a hint of sour apples). Then you are ready to bake! Keep your starter fresh by refreshing every 1-2 days.
