By Appellant’s Notice submitted on 19 November 2024, Keep Chiswell Green, claimant below, appeals the order of Lang J dated 29 October 2024 dismissing the claim for statutory review, pursuant to section 288 Town and Country Planning Act 1990, refusing permission to appeal, and awarding costs to the first defendant.

The Claimant applied for statutory review, pursuant to section 288 Town and Country Planning Act 1990, of the decisions of the first defendant, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Local Communities, dated 22 March 2024, in which he accepted the recommendations of his Inspector, and allowed two conjoined appeals against the decisions of the Council, the fourth defendant, to refuse planning permission for two residential developments, on adjacent sites within the Metropolitan Green Belt, in Chiswell Green, near St Albans, Hertfordshire.
