Part a
Steps of construction
I. Draw line segment AB with length 5.8cm
II. At point A, construct a 90oangle using a compass ( perpendicular bisector method)
III. From point A, along the line at 90o to AB, measure and mark a length of 4.2cm. label this point C.
IV. Connect point B and C to form Δ ABC.
Part b
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment LM of length 4cm.
II. At point M, construct an angle of 1200 . Extend a line from M at this angle
III. From point M along the line just drew, measure and mark a length of 4.7cm. label this point N
IV. Connect point N and L to complete the triangle Δ LMN
Part c
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment PQ of length 7.2 cm
II. At point P, construct an angle of 45o. extend a line from P at this angle
III. At point Q, construct an angle 75o in the direction that will intersect the line drawn from P, Extend a line from Q at this angle.
IV. The point where these two lines intersect is a point R. connect points R ti P and R to Q to complete the triangle Δ PQR
Part d
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment XY of length 5cm
II. At point X, construct an angle 300 . Extend a line from X at this angle.
III. Since the sun of angles in a triangle must be 180 degree and we already have 300 +1050= 1350.
IV. The remaining angle at Y must be 1800- 1350= 45o
V. Construct an angle of 45o at Y.
VI. The point where the two lines from X and Y intersect will be point Z.
VII. Connect Z to X and Y to complete the triangle Δ XYZ

Part a
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment AB of length 6.8cm
II. At point A, construct a 90oangle using a compass ( perpendicular bisector method)
III. From point B, along the line at 90o to AB, measure and mark a length of 8.1 cm. label this point C.
IV. Connect point B and C to form Δ ABC.
Part B
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment DE of length 5.2cm
II. At point E, construct an angle 450 . Extend a line from E at this angle.
III. From point D measure and mark a length of 4 cm along the line you just drew. Label this point F
IV. Connect point F to point E to complete the triangle Δ DEF
Part C
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment QR of length 7.0cm
II. At point R, construct an angle 750 . Extend a line from R at this angle.
III. With centre at Q draw an arc of radius 5.6 cm which does not intersect RA.
IV. Construction of Δ PQR is not possible
Part D
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment XY of length 3.8 cm
II. At point Y, construct an angle 650 . Extend a line from Y at this angle.
III. With X as the center use a compass to draw an arc with a radius of 5cm, which will intersect the line drawn from Y at point Z.
IV. Connect point Z to points X and Y to complete the triangle Δ XYZ
Part E
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment BC of length 5.7 cm
II. At point B, construct an angle 1050 . Extend a line from B at this angle.
III. With C as the center use a compass to draw an arc with a radius of 7.5cm, which will intersect the line drawn from B at point A.
IV. Connect point A to points B and C to complete the triangle Δ ABC

Part F
Steps of construction
I. Draw a line segment AB of length 6.1 cm
II. At point A, construct an angle 300 . Extend a line from A at this angle.
III. With B as the center use a compass to draw an arc with a radius of 3.8cm, which will intersect the line drawn from A at point C.
IV. Connect point A to points B and C to complete the triangle Δ ABC
