Описание к видео the rolling stones - 2120 south michigan avenue - stereo remix IIIa

Edit 3a for headphones, November 2022. Dubbed video. Different approach in editing.
Recorded on June 10 & 11, 1964. Released on the second UK EP "Five By Five" (five songs by five guys), August 14, 1964, and on the second US album "12 x 5" (yes, right guess, twelve songs by five guys)(though the Stones really were six guys when including Ian Stewart on organ), October 24, 1964. Also released on "No Stone Unturned", October 1973. Source cd of the edit: "12 X 5" (1964)(Japanese mini lp remastered 2006)(uicy-93014).

Some parts of the video are about the notorious Rolling Stones concert in Holland (the 'Kurhaus' in The Hague).
That was not the only time when things went wrong.
A concert in Lynn, Massachusetts - in June of 1966 - also ended in a riot, along with teargas; during the opening acts, fans left the seating and amassed in front of the stage (too many fans for too little police). During the band's getaway a young woman had a finger torn off by the retreating limousine. The venue, Manning Bowl, has long been demolished.

It is pure coincidence that the International Criminal Court resides in The Hague... it has nothing to do with the Rolling Stones nor Rolling Stones fans behaving badly... I think...

2120 SOUTH MICHIGAN AVENUE
(Nanker/Phelge)

Harp: Brian Jones. Bass: Bill Wyman. Drums: Charlie Watts. Guitar: Keith Richards. Organ: Ian Stewart. Percussion: Mick Jagger.

2120 South Michigan Avenue is the address of the Chess recording studios in Chicago where the song was recorded, together with the other four songs of the EP.

Bill Wyman said that the composition process started with him playing a bass riff and that the others followed on jamming.
