Pathways for Returning Citizens, Solutions to Violence, & Youth Empowerment.
Description: The barriers to economic mobility and access to quality employment are deeply woven -- they target our most vulnerable, are intergenerational, and intersect across all aspects of community wellness. Our solutions must also be intersectional and connected. For a member of our community who is born into poverty, facing systemic disparity in education, housing, healthcare, the legal system, and the impacts of violence and trauma, the road to a family-sustaining career is filled with mines and roadblocks. Hear from key workforce development leaders are working to address economic, gender, disability, and racial equity. The success of our efforts depends on a deep understanding of these overlapping challenges as well integrated and innovative pathways toward dignified, sustaining, and meaningful work.
