If your boiler is too small then you’ll be overworking it to achieve the level of water and heat required, if your boiler is too powerful for your home it won’t necessarily affect the operation of it because modern boilers can modulate their the amount of energy required, but this comes with a higher upfront cost to purchase the boiler, and can require additional work during the installation.
