Shoot fly management in maize crop

Shoot fly is a major pest of maize or corn, sorghum and Millet crops. It attacks on early stages of maize, sorghum and millet crop. It can be easily controlled through adopting the following precaitionary measures:
1) Seed treatment with Confidor or Imidachloprid SL formulations @ 8 ml per kg seed.
2) Spray application
Gamacyhalothrin @ 100 ml per acre
or
Bifenthrin @ 330 ml per acre
