Mammoth King will begin wandering around the first exile hunting ground after Beru leaves your party. You'll know it's nearby when you hear the thundering of its footsteps. Sniffing for it also puts it on your radar.

The hardest thing about the fight is it will massively heal if it's allowed to stand on the fire tiles it creates. If it's touching all nine squares its sprite allows for, it'll heal 216 HP, which puts a MASSIVE damper on the battle.

If you can stunlock it with Poke Bind and then set either poison or electric terrain with Gori's move or the item you can get from combining a stone knife and a beast fang, you'll be good enough to take it on at lower levels instead of needing Pogo's level 16 move.

There's a chance Mammoth King with drop a cola bottle after defeat, which is an item that deals HEAVY damage to enemies in battle and can be reused, or equipped for +30 speed. I wasn't lucky enough to roll it, but it breaks the game anyway so it's fine~ just reload and try again if you didn't manage to roll it.
