Plugs are NOT repairs! How to REALLY repair an earthmover tyre

Описание к видео Plugs are NOT repairs! How to REALLY repair an earthmover tyre

In this video Operations Director, Derek Adams, talks about the misconception that plugging a tyre is a type of repair.

Plugging is a temporary measure, a type of triage. It can help to get a machine moved or to a safe location. At that point, the tyre should be removed and thoroughly inspected.

If the damage is only minor, a cold cure patch can be applied to the tyre on-site. If the damage is more considerable (but repairable), the tyre should be taken to a controlled environment and repaired via vulcanisation.
