BOUND BY BLOOD (2024) Short Film

In a haunting, otherworldly realm where time stands still, a man awakens in his shattered home—its roof gone, windows missing, and walls crumbling. He finds himself on a desolate bridge of land, a passage between the remnants of a lost civilization and the distant hill that leads to the afterlife. Confused and disoriented, he sees a woman standing behind an altar laden with sharp objects. As she places a bloodstained razor on the altar and walks towards him, the grim reality of his situation begins to unfold.

This place is where souls arrive after ending their lives, a liminal plane where they must confront the act that brought them there. The man realizes that he must walk this path to reach the person who cut their veins before him—the woman who now stands before him, marked by deep scars. She reveals her wounds, forcing him to remember his own tragic actions. In that moment of painful clarity, the woman is freed to ascend the hill toward the afterlife, leaving him to take her place.

Now, the man’s role is to wait behind the altar for the next lost soul, to show them why they have arrived in this purgatorial space, and to pass on the burden he has inherited. "Relics of Regret" is a chilling tale of sorrow, reflection, and the endless cycle of reckoning that binds those trapped between life and what lies beyond.

This film is a haunting exploration of the human condition, where every frame is a mirror reflecting the scars we hide and the relentless cycles we can't escape.
