📝 CREATOR'S NOTES
This video almost never happened. Early this year, I had finally gotten around to getting rid of the box full of unopened face washes sitting under our sink for 8 months.

I initially thought of giving them away. But I felt guilty about not using them as I had intended to—to make a video testing their pH levels—when I had spent almost 2,500 pesos (PHP) on them.

Even before I jumped the gun and ordered 20+ different face washes, the idea of testing the pH of popular face washes had been burning in my mind for a year or two. I wanted very much to make the video a reality.

However, after shooting several hours of unboxing and inserts, I had to shelve the project because, as they say, "life got in the way" and I became occupied with many other things.

Fast-forward 8 months, I was torn on what to do with the unused face washes. I then asked myself: Will I regret just giving them away and completely scrapping the project years from now?

I gave it a thought. I then imagined a future where I will buying the same face washes because I'd still be curious about their pH levels.

With that realization, I picked up the project again.

The production took 3 months, squeezing it in whatever free time that I had. All in all, this video was 1 year in the making, but only around 60 work hours in total spread across 12 months.

Now that the "pH testing video" is done and out, I couldn't be more proud of myself for following through and finishing what I started.

Looking back and comparing my circumstances when I started this project and when the production resumed, I might have really needed the long break to acquire the skills, resources, and even the weather necessary to make this video happen. (The timing is uncanny.)

Ultimately, what this whole experience taught me is that distractions are inevitable (lol). As much as we want to pursue our passions every day, we'd have to put them on pause sometimes in order to attend to urgent and important matters or to chase a new and flighty curiosity.

Despite this, if we're truly passionate about the project, we should pick it back up when we finally have the chance and work towards its completion. That's how we build big things in life, realistically.
