Live one-take hypnotic techno jam with a hybrid modular and Ableton setup.
Quantized patterns, evolving arps and a few missed record buttons.
🎧 Headphones or decent speakers recommended 🎧
Hey everyone — welcome to Day 15 !
I was slow and tired today.
The plan was to do something hypnotic — Pamela’s clocking Collide 4 into some nicely quantized chaos. That didn’t really happen.
Instead, I ended up with a synth arpeggio lead thing I initially liked, then decided was way too cheesy.
So I made a new one, which might be a bit underwhelming in comparison.
I also forgot to press record twice… so yeah — this is what survived.
Anyway, here it is.
Hope you enjoy it 🙏

Over the past months, I’ve put together a hybrid live setup. This is the first time I’ve worked with a setup like this, so I’m basically learning a new instrument.I want to use #jamuary26 to improve my skills (or maybe even get some in the first place with a setup like this). I’ll probably also touch on techno, a genre I’m not used to at all.
The setup is quite complex, but it almost fits into a smallish case. Jamuary will be a proof of concept. Below is an attempt to describe this madness.Questions and suggestions are more than welcome 🙂

The drum channels are grouped and processed with compression, a looper/delay, and a low-cut filter, routed to a fader on the controller.

Master
Compression, limiter
Ableton outputs
