In this week’s episode, hosts Pat and Mpumi sit down with Domaine Rautenbach, a senior brand manager at Jacobs Coffee to help answer the burning question “will robots take over the retail industry”. Born and bred in Pretoria, shares her journey about how she was passionate about marketing since she was in high school. This led her to enrol for a National Diploma in Marketing at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).

After graduating at TUT, she landed a trainee job at Bosch, subsequently she landed a permanent position as Assistant Brand Manager in After Sales.

Speaking about being in a competitive industry, Domain highlights her best campaigns during her time at Eskort and now at Jacobs – highlighting the Springbox campaign and the current Tokinomo Shelfobots Jacobs campaign.

Domain further speaks about the biggest evolution in the retail sector in the past 10 years. She also touches on the current economic dynamics and how at Jacobs they are meeting their consumers halfway by bringing variations of products and variations of prices.
