Hundreds of people attended the Midwest Greek Step Show in Minneapolis as part of the University of Minnesota’s Homecoming festivities in October. It was an opportunity for members and alumni of historically Black sororities and fraternities from across the region to gather.

There’s a spotlight on Black Greek-letter organizations, known as “the Divine Nine,” with Vice President Kamala Harris running for president. She joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. while she was a student at Howard University.

The Divine Nine are not officially pro-Harris. As nonprofits, they are prohibited from endorsing political candidates. But many individual members are. 📝+ 📹 Feven Gerezgiher.
