Malaysia Aviation Safety Seminar 2023 is an important milestone that will bring together delegates from 39 ICAO Member States in the Asia Pacific region. The main goal of this programme is to encourage information sharing among participants, allowing them to share expertise and views on the implementation of civil aviation safety oversight systems in their respective countries. The programme provides a dynamic forum for participants to actively participate in debates, exchange of information, and exploring new ideas.

This seminar aims at addressing current and emerging aviation safety topics, promote best industry practices, encourage safety data and information exchange in order to build a strong and proactive aviation safety culture.

Runway Safety Collaboration

The discussion focuses on the importance of coordination among stakeholders in the aviation industry for ensuring effective implementation of Runway Safety Programme. Defining runway safety, engaging stakeholders, sharing information and best practices, leveraging technology and infrastructure, promoting training, fostering a positive safety culture, complying with regulations, sharing case studies, and addressing future challenges and opportunities are among the key points. The aim of this breakout session is to further discuss on initiative and effort to reduce the risk of runway incursions, excursions, and other events that may result in an accident.
