Hello space lovers,
On June 23, 2021 CNSA published first video of Chinese Zhurong Rover landing on Mars at Utopia Planitia site within Tianwen-1 mission. Video from camera located on Mars Lander. Video presented is actually part of supersonic parachute deployment video of Tianwen1 Zhurong rover landing on Mars. The Mars atmosphere is only about 1% as dense as earth’s, thus the parachute has to be deployed when the speed is still as high as Mach 2 (2 times the speed of sound). Chinese Zhurong Mars Rover has been working on the surface of Mars for 36 Martian days, carrying out environmental perception, fire surface movement, and scientific exploration. Zhurong also made first panoramic 360 degrees image at Utopia Planitia on Mars. There is image of Parachute pack and Heat Shield on the surface of Red Planet.
