A bit of a special video on this random Monday! 🎹

I usually only share my piano videos on social media as most people don't follow the YouTube channel for piano content, but I wanted to make an exception with this one as it was too long for other platforms and I also have a personal story to go along with it.

This is a piece of music that means a lot to me. It's one of my favorite video game songs and it was composed by none other than Joe Hisaishi, my greatest inspiration for learning the piano in the first place.

This song is dear to my heart because it reminds me of my grandma who passed away around the same time I was starting to teach myself piano. Ni No Kuni as a game is all about Oliver getting over losing someone too and I had just played the remaster on PS4 that very same year. "Pieces of a Broken Heart" and its lyrics hit really close and helped me at that time which is why it's so special to me. Incredible piece of music. I highly recommend you go and listen to the original with the lyrics after this.
