VERSE:
The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. Habakkuk 3:19

EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today we meditate on the powerful promise in Habakkuk 3:19. The LORD God is not just a helper in trouble. He is your strength itself.

Why does the Lord compare our feet to a deer and not to a lion or an elephant? When you look at a deer, its legs appear thin and fragile. You may wonder how such slender legs can carry the weight of its body or help it survive in rough terrain. Yet those very legs enable the deer to move swiftly through narrow paths, leap over rocks, climb steep hills, and reach astonishing heights without slipping.

Likewise, in your life, you may feel that you do not have the strength, ability, or stability to face what stands before you. But God does not measure strength the way humans do. He builds inner balance, spiritual firmness, and divine strategy within you. Scripture declares, He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. Psalm 18:33. The Lord specializes in preparing you for heights by first strengthening your foundation.

You may be walking through narrow and crooked paths today. There may be tribulations, unexpected obstacles, and burdens that feel heavier than you can carry. Yet the promise of Habakkuk 3:19 assures you that God Himself will strengthen your steps. He will not remove every mountain immediately, but He will equip you to climb it.

The spiritual life is compared to a race. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 1 Corinthians 9:24. The apostle Paul understood that moving forward requires determination and strengthened feet. He declared, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13,14.

Even in old age, Moses climbed to the top of Pisgah on mount Nebo and saw the land the Lord promised, as written in Deuteronomy 34:1. Age, weakness, or limitation cannot stop a person whose feet are strengthened by God. The Lord also promises, Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. Deuteronomy 33:25.

Beloved, examine your spiritual condition. Are your feet steady or shaking? Are you shrinking back from heights because of fear? The Lord is calling you upward. He is not preparing you for mediocrity but for high places in life and ministry. The path may be steep, but the One who strengthens you is faithful. When God makes your feet like hinds' feet, you will not merely survive the climb. You will stand securely on the heights He has prepared for you.

PRAYER:
Supreme Father, I come before You with gratitude for Your mighty promises and unfailing love. You are my strength. You make my feet like hinds' feet and cause me to walk upon high places. When I feel weak and unstable, remind me that You are building strength within me. Help me to trust You on narrow paths and steep climbs. Teach me to move forward without fear and to press toward the high calling You have set before me. I receive Your promise today and declare that You are strengthening my steps. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
