JONG JONG INAI - Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra

Dress rehearsal with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO), performing a composition based on the traditional Malay folk tune from Terengganu - "JONG JONG INAI" - composed and conducted by LUQMAN AZIZ in conjunction with the 10th MERDEKA AWARD ceremony in September 2017. The composition was "designed" based on the idea of "clearing the stage" as the music was playing; it starts with a full orchestra, and ends with only a string quartet and percussion. Sorry for the noises though.

This was my second appearance as conductor for the MPYO. These boys and girls are really awesome, and I enjoyed every moment with all of them. I learned a lot, gained new experiences and made new friends.

Hopefully, I will be seeing them again, soon.
