• Soak it together in enough water at least 4 hours.
• Drain all the water from the soaked mixture and transfer it into a blender jar.
• Add turmeric powder, curd and water and blend it well together into smooth paste.
• Take the batter out into a bowl.
• You can ferment the batter overnight if you want. In that case add salt after the batter is
fermented well.
• Add salt and mix well.
• Add Eno and water and mix in quickly.
• Heat up water in a steamer and bring it to boil.
• Place a stand in the steamer and a plate or tin in which you want to steam the dhokla on it.
• Pour the batter into the dish and spread it evenly.
• Close the lid and steam the dhokla on medium heat for about 10-12 minutes.
• Check with a knife or toothpick. If it comes out clean, it means the dhokla is steamed well.
• Take the dish out and let the dhokla cool down for about 8-10 minutes.
