A word of caution.. MOST laundry soaps are not made for animal fibers and WILL damage them. They have enzymes in them that are meant to break down stains (aka proteins=animal fibers). The PH can also be out of range and can cause further damage.
The baby shampoo is gentle, hypoallergenic, neutral ph, safe for an infants delicate hair and skin. Works great for hand washing finished wool items in a pinch. The best choice is always going to be a soap that specifically says it is for wool.
