In this video, I’ll give you some creative tips on how to flip a sampled loop by playing it up and down the keyboard and still have it in key with the rest of the instruments in your beat. I'm showing these tips in a project I made in Ableton Live but you can easily apply the same principles when using samples in Maschine, FL Studio, Logic Pro, etc.

You'll learn how to find the key of your sample and use basic music theory to play the "correct" notes, make sure your sampled loops remain tempo synced as you play them up and down, how to make them less static and how to create a b-section by creating different patterns with your sample.
