Описание к видео Using Our Pain to Parent with Purpose

In episode 17, Beth shares her deeply personal and beautiful adoption journey. After fostering her daughter for a year and a half, she and her husband officially adopted her in October 2016—and their story didn’t end there. Beth discusses the ongoing, positive relationship she maintains with her daughter’s birth mother and what open adoption has meant for their family.
The episode also highlights Beth’s remarkable extended family, where adoption is woven through multiple generations: her sister’s eight children—six adopted, her mother’s eleven grandchildren—seven adopted, and her grandmother’s growing legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many welcomed through both domestic and international adoption.
This is a conversation about love, connection, and the many ways a family can be formed.

If you’re adopted, an adoptive parent, a birth parent, or someone impacted by adoption in any way, your perspective matters. 💛 How have empathy, communication, or identity played a role in your journey?
