My First Sailor Ink: KIWAGURO Black Ink

Let’s see how Sailor KIWAGURO Pigmented Black holds up under abrasion with watercolors on Strathmore Mixed Media 100% Cotton Vellum Paper.

Sailor KIWAGURO Black Ink is a pigmented ink like Platinum Carbon Black. I have have never used it before but have had multiple recommendations to try it. I’ve been using Platinum Carbon Black for over 10 years. I’ve been tempted away before but I always go back. However, if this ink does clean up easier, then I may have a new black ink!

Smooth, matte, water resistant and smudge resistant would put this at the top of the list and so far: it’s going there.

This is my first Sailor ink and now I may need more!
