00:00 - Introduction to Manitou MT 1840 with a Stage Five Engine

Good morning and welcome to this Locators video. Today we should be doing a product features and walk around on the Manitou MT 1840 with a stage five engine.

00:09 - Lockable Fuel Cap

On this side of the machine – right by the cab – you'll find a lockable fuel cap with a cover; not only to put the cap in, but also to protect the cap from ingress of dirt and other debris.

00:24 - Lockable Toolbox

Underneath the cab is a lockable toolbox; very handy for your grease gun – if you don't have automatic greasing fitted – and other items that you don't necessarily want in the cabin itself.

00:36 - Hydraulic Site Gauge

On the side of the hydraulic tank, just at the back of the cap is the hydraulic sight gauge

00:42 - Road Lights

The machine comes fitted with road lights so you can use it on the road . . . If you want to register for the road, that is. The roadblocks themselves, to comply with legislation, has to be in the down position. Clearly, in this position, they may get damaged on site. So what can we do? We can move those up. Still functioning – but no longer in a position to be damaged.

01:06 -Engine

The machine is powered by Deutz’ 75 horsepower stage five engine. The engine bonnet is very easy to access. Right on the front is the dipstick for the engine oil. Filler on the top just by the head of the tank. Easy access to the air filter. Easy access to other filters, and you can see at the back . . . the DPF, which enables us to be stage five ready on this machine.

01:37 - Frame Levelling

The MT 1840 is not only fitted with stabilisers – which stay within the confines of the machine when they're stowed – but also frame levelling. So the frame levelling can be used to level the machine if you don't want to use the stabilisers and can also be levelled up from the cab to ensure that your chassis and axle are parallel when travelling.

02:04 - In Conclusion
