Here are some fun facts about the movie:

Marilyn was pretty messed up by this point in her career. It required a lot of takes to correctly deliver just one line in certain scenes.

Marilyn was actually pregnant during the filming.

To test their female drag outfits, Curtis and Lemmon went into the ladies' room and fixed their makeup in front of the mirror. When no women complained or even seemed to notice, they knew they got it right.

Frank Sinatra was an early choice the play the Jack Lemmon "Daphne" role.

Tony's "Josephine" voice was dubbed by voice over artist Paul Frees. So what we hear in the movie was a combination of Frees and Tony's voice. It was because Tony found it impossible to maintain a high-pitched feminine voice for an entire scene.
