The Slab Series | Part 1 - Introduction and Flat Slab | Autodesk Robot

Описание к видео The Slab Series | Part 1 - Introduction and Flat Slab | Autodesk Robot

In this video, we are going to start our slab series in Autodesk Robot, with the flat slab being the first to be investigated.

Things that were missed:
Engr. Donald Khanye:
In the “Limit States” section of the “Slab and Shell Reinforcement” dialog box, I think it is important to also change or to choose the “Method” from “analytical” to “equivalent mom. (wood&Amor)” as a way to “tell” RSAP to calculate and design the slab reinforcements using the wood and amour equivalent moments as opposed to using the analytical moments results?

CEE:
Yes, that slipped my mind, although I took some effort to explain the method, it slipped my mind to select it.

Current Video Ideas for the Future:
- Highway Bridge
- Basement Walls and the discontinuity of loads on columns
- Influence Surfaces
- When and why modal mass is always 90% or less.
- Tie beams in normal structure.
- More details about modal participation / report?
- Masses and stiffnesses to control modes
- LL Reduction in ACI/ASCE (vertical and horizontal)
- A possible way to model columns with pressure areas
- Deeper dive into slab reinforcement.
- Raft with larger thickness and positions
- Robot - seemingly - erratic deformation when supported by beams and columns
- A way to manually “clean-up” simple mesh like the above
- Complex and Principle results
- Simple TBM tunnel lining analysis in robot
