I had a question brought up to me about spalling and what techniques I use, so I decided to shoot a quick little video showing primary spalling of a chunk of basalt. This is not the worlds best spalling demonstration but I did remove some flakes and discussed the procedure I used to remove them. It seems I always have a dog barking in the background everytime I shoot a video, this time it was the neighbors dog, sorry, it is quite annoying to me, but that's what you have when you live in town. I hope this video is helpful to anyone learning to spall.
