Train Simulator 2021: How to Switch Trains in Career Scenarios

Simple video on how to swap out different trains so you can play your favorite train in a scenario.

Step One: Go to Build mode and click the Scenario tab. Make a clone of the scenario you want to alter.

Step Two: Figure out what train you want to replace the scenario train with. For example, I am replacing the scenario train with the SD60M, which is found under the RSC file. If I wanted to use my Santa Fe train, it would be found under the JL folder, etc. You can google under what folder to find your favorite train.

Step Three: Drag the command symbols onto the new train. Drag the first one, the blue one, which is hovering over the scenario train. It's easier if you drag the symbols onto the new train when it's on a track NEXT to the scenario train. It's hard to get them onto the new train if you place it on the same track for some reason.

Step Four: Delete the old train and drag the new train into its place. Make sure it's facing the correct way.

Step Five: Hit play and save. Then you can play your favorite train in the scenario.
