Razor RSF650 36V Electric Mini Street Motorcycle - Part 2: Repair and First Ride

I purchased this little electric motorcycle for my younger son as an early birthday present. He has outgrown his mini pocket electric race-style motorcycle that I had gotten him almost four years ago. I think this Razor RSF650 is going to be perfect for his size and age.

It was listed at $599. However, I was in luck when I placed the order because there was a $149 coupon, which brought down the total to $450! Absolutely an amazing value for this high-quality mini electric motorcycle! With the tax, I ended up paying $478. And I will be recovering some of the cost once I sell my son’s old mini pocket bike on Craigslist.

Unfortunately, the delivery by UPS was not done properly and the box was delivered upside down. Upon opening the box and setting up the bike, I found out that the little on/off switch was crushed and broken into two pieces:

In any case, the assembly was a breeze and just took about 15 minutes. It looks gorgeous, almost like a real motorcycle.

Amazon’s after-sale page suggests contacting Razor directly for warranty claims. So, I reached out to Razor and submitted a warranty claim to for a replacement switch, which they said will ship out in three days. However, I did not want to wait for the part, so I found it on Amazon for $8.39 with Prime shipping. I ordered it on Saturday, and it amazingly arrived on Sunday. The bike was repaired and running on Monday. My son finally started riding it, which is feature in this video.
