Karl Malone had 33 points and 14 rebounds. John Stockton had 16 assists and a career high 34 points. The Jazz were defeated 120-106 in game 3 of the 1989 first round series to be swept from the playoffs. Malone gt off to a very slow start but when he realized the game was slipping away from the Jazz, he became Utah's offense. John Stockton scored 27 pints through the 1st 3 quarters to keep the Jazz alive and Malone scored 19 of his 33 in the 4th.

The Jazz lost games 1 and 2 at home because they could not stop Mullin. Chris Mullin and the Warriors continued to frustrate the Jazz in this game. Mitch Richmond had a great game (that I plan on uploading eventually). Chris Mullin had a game high 35, and Manute Bol was a defensive force in the paint. All those factors led to the very early exit for Utah.

More Karl Malone to come, stay tuned.
