Official rules:
RTA timing is used. This means all runs must be done in one sitting, and the timer cannot be paused at any point.

All runs require video proof (with audio) showing the entire run from start to finish.

Unless stated otherwise, multiplayer is banned and runs must be completed in one player mode.

The use of online features is banned.

The postcard and date following each level must be visible.

All runs must be performed on an official Super Mario Bros. Wonder release, without the use of any modifications. Emulators are banned.

Individual Level Rules:

Timing:

Timing starts on the first frame when the loading circle has completely vanished.
Timing ends on the first frame when the screen has turned black from the loading circle after completing a level. Bowser's Rage Stage timing ends on the first frame of the button press animation.
IGT levels are an exception to these timing rules.
Restrictions:

Runs must be attempted on a completed level.
The whole IL must be shown. ILs may not be spliced together
Multiplayer local coop is banned.
Resetting levels for the intention of changing the position of upcoming obstacles (pipe and wonder seeds) is banned.
Any run must start with a reset. IGT levels are an exception.
Any character is allowed.
Any badge is allowed, including badgeless.
Any items are allowed, including items within the item balloon.
