Teruel to Murcia, via Elche - Our Spanish Road Trip - Part 3

The next leg of our Spanish Road trip takes us across backroad Spain from Teruel to Murcia via the palm groves of Elche.

Heading south 220 miles or 350km to Murcia, where we will be staying two nights. This allows us the freedom to get there a little later, our target is by 4:00pm

After a look at Teruel's Bullring and a bit of a false start due to fuel worries, we pick up N-330, which will be our companion for a chuck of this route.

The route is ever-changing, cutting its way through red rocks and across open planes, passing through small towns and villages as we go; we'll try to cover all aspects of planning your own Spanish road trip.

We'll also see the weather change as we make our way south on this mid-September day.

We have a brief leg stretch at a picnic spot before heading onto the UNESCO Palmeral of Elche, or the Palm Tree Groves of Elche; after a look around, we head onto our overnight accommodation in Murcia.
