The Book of Genesis is the book of beginnings. It tells of the beginning of creation, and the beginning of mankind. It reveals the purpose for which God created all things, and especially the purpose for which He created us. We do not live in a meaningless universe, but we live in a world made by God that is moving from the beginning to the end ordained by Him. Along the way, we Christians exist to glorify, enjoy, and serve this Creator God as creatures made in His image, and redeemed by His Son.
